DIY Kaleidoscope

It's been almost 2 centuries this beautiful form invented by Sir David Brewster in 1817. He began work leading towards invention of the kaleidoscope in 1815 when he was conducting experiments on light polarization but it wasn't patented until two years later. In just three months two hundred thousand kaleidoscope sold in London and Paris, after Philip Carpenter, the sole manufacture owner produced them.

My dad asked me to make simple DIY kaleidoscope just this noon. He told me that he ever made this thing when he was in elementary school. With three rectangular mirror, of course in the same shape, we made equilateral-triangular-prism, put on the tape. Then tape on two layer of white plastics (put some beddles, colored plastic with different shape or maybe glass in between) at the bottom of the prism. Warp the prism with motive paper. Do not forget to close the top of prism with paper or dark plastik then make a hole for the sight. SIMPLE RIGHT!

I took some pics of the random form, you could shake it, so you'll see every different form made. And it'll more beautiful if you see them under the sun, so the colored of the plastic or glass would refract the lights.
